Walk Tall, You're a Daughter of God

This morning as I was in the bathroom getting ready for Church, Imari was in the rocking chair rocking our baby and singing church songs to her. I love listening to him sing to our sweet little girl. If only she knew just how lucky she is...she will learn one day. He sang such a sweet and perfect Young Women's song that I hope my sweet little Baylinn will always remember these lyrics and know are true. My precious perfect little baby please don't ever change.

Walk Tall, You're a Daughter of God:

1. Right now I have a prayer deep within my heart,
A prayer for each of you there is a special part.
That you remember who you are and Him who lives above.
Please seek for Him and live His way; you’ll feel His love.
Chorus:
Walk tall, you’re a daughter, a child of God.
Be strong—please remember who you are.
Try to understand, You’re part of His great plan.
He’s closer than you know—reach up, He’ll take your hand.
2. Long before the time you can remember,
Our Father held you in His arms so tender.
Those loving arms released you as He sent you down to earth.
He said, “My child, I love you. Don’t forget your great worth.”
3. This life on earth we knew would not be easy.
At times we lose our way—His plan we may not see.
But please remember always—please—that you are not alone.
He’ll take your hand. He loves you! He will guide you home.

Never Forget

One of my biggest fears in life is forgetting. Forgetting the good times. Forgetting the hard times I have learned and grown from. Forgetting the little miracles that happen along the way. I have been trying to decide and figure out what will be the best way for me as far as keeping a journal goes. So I have finally made a decision that I am going to start blogging again, and then print it out for my journal, and that this time I really am going to do good and stay on top of things so that I don't have to forget my life! Here I go...

The Birthday Boy

My husband turned 27 on March 13th!!! I can't believe we are well on our way to our 30's. Where has the time gone? I love this man of mine, and I wanted to think of something creative to make his day special! I had work all day and Imari had school. It was nice when we finally made it home to each other, and the party could finally begin. I told Imari he could pick anywhere he wanted to eat, and he chose Captain's Cove. If you haven't been there before...don't go. That could partially be because I HATE sea food. Blahh... We got there and Imari ordered Calamari for an appetizer. I have tried this once before, so I thought I would  try it again. I ate a few pieces and realized I don't even know what Calamari is so I asked Imari. He said he would tell me when we were done eating. Well I didn't have to wait until they were all gone because one of them came out of the breading and I about lost it. This is why....Can't believe I ate this. Wah...

After we were done eating we headed home for our next plan. Imari didn't know what it was, and I made him go in our room and stay there with the door shut while I got things ready and set up. I made him a tent-I even googled how to make a good one, and got some good ideas:) I made it out of blankets and sheets in our living room. I put Christmas lights around it, filled it with pillows and blankets, a lantern, a red box, popcorn, and Cold Stone Icecream (his favorite). He opened his presents in there, then we turned on our movie and ate popcorn and icecream inside of our tent! It was such a fun night! Happy Birthday sweets I love you so so much!

My white Couches

Remember a few posts ago when I blogged about my Dream couches my husband surprised me with! Well they are still my dream couches, and don't get me wrong I LOVE them. But let's just say I am having to clean them more then I thought I would have to. Yes I expect it when I have kids, but I didn't know my husband would be the worst one. I called him on my lunch break the other day and our conversation went something like this....

Me: Hey babe how is your day going?
Imari: Good...babe your going to be mad at me.
Me: Did you spill on the couch again?
Imari: Yes, it was an accident though. I was eating trail mix and I dropped a piece so I stood up to try and find it, but I couldn't find it and I even sat in a different spot to finish my homework, but when I stood up there was chocolate smeared on the couch.

How did I know that he had spilled something on the couch when he told me I was going to be mad....Because this was our third time having this conversation in a short period of time. The first time it was red punch that he spilled on it, the second time it was drinking hot chocolate on the couch and he spilt it, and now the third time it was chocolate that was stuck to his pants and melted/smeared on the couch lol. Luckily all three washes have been successful! So I do still love my couches! I am thankful for bleach, And my husband is lucky that I have a sense of humor, and don't get mad at him:)

1 Year Anniversary

All I can say is that this has been one of the greatest years of my life! The best decision I ever made was to marry my sweet husband Imari Shayne Tausili Molifua! I love him more then I could ever describe, and now I could never live without him. We have had our ups and downs, our laughs and tears (mostly me), our excitements and disappointments over this last year. The best part of it all, is that we got to go through it all together. And let me just say it really is so nice having someone by my side to go through everything with. It makes the exciting times more exciting, and the hard times easier to get through. I can't believe one year has already come and gone, and I can't wait to see what the upcoming year has in store for us!

The best day

For our Anniversary we headed off to Brian Head Utah to stay in a Ski Lodge there! My mother in law was kind enough to let us take up some of her points on her time share! We took off Friday night after Imari got out of school, and stayed in Provo with family. We were able to have a fun night when we got down there with cousins! Saturday morning we were off! We started our vacation off the right way eating at Krispie Cream's for breakfast. We then went grocery shopping to stock up our kitchen when we got there. We finally made it to our destination! It was so pretty up there with all the trees and the snow. We checked in to our room and got on all of our Snow Boarding gear and headed to the slopes! We did some night skiing, and the best thing was that it was pretty warm up there, so we never got very cold! We had a great time snow boarding. Imari was kind and patient enough to work with me on my carving skills. Needless to say I am finally starting to get it down. It has only taken me a few years:) He is a great teacher I kept telling him!

Our second day there we went tubing down their awesome tube hill they have! It was so much fun, and required no skill. My favorite part. It was so warm out we were taking off our coats/hats/and gloves!

Eating our one year old cake-Tradition right!? Imari said do we really have to eat it? I said yes we do it's tradition...needless to say we got more on our faces and the floor then in our mouth. Sadly and not surprisingly it was majorly freezer burnt, and the inside filling didn't taste quite right.

I am so grateful for my husband and all that he does for me! Lately I have been telling him he is the best wife ever, and he tells me that I am the best husband! Hopefully one day our circumstances will flop around. Until then I will continue to feel like a bad wife, and feel grateful that Imari is willing to help out with a lot of the cooking and cleaning! Here's to you babe! I love you sweets! One year down and many many more to come:)

So grateful for my Sweet Husband

I truly am so grateful for my sweet husband and all he does for me! He did the sweetest thing the other day that I just have to share, and don't ever want to forget! So since we have been married I have been searching for couches. One of our good friends was nice enough to let us borrow his couch until we found our own. I have looked on Craigslist almost every day for the last nine months-and have even went to a few garage sales seeing if I could find some. Am I picky and knew exactly what I was looking for? Yes! So one of my good friends Whitney Kenworthy inspired me:) I love her couches-and wanted some just like it. Why do I love them...because they are White! So I was looking for a really cheap couch set that had a good and normal shape so that I could get some nice white couch covers. Well...that doesn't exist. Either they are expensive and the right shape, or the wrong shape and cheap. I was about to give it a break for awhile when I went onto Craigslist and found a white sectional couch from Ikea. Exactly what I am looking for-except I don't have to do any work because it is already covered! I wanted it so bad and sadly couldn't stop thinking about it. I went home and showed Imari on craigslist to see what he thought, and if we could maybe possible get it. He said that would be fine but that he needed to check his account first too see how much of his grant he had left. He said he would check it tomorrow morning. Well I never heard from him and I was scared someone else would beat me too it. Finally he called and said he didn't have as much as he thought, and didn't know if we would be able to. So dumb but I almost started crying....I didn't know this at the time-but he was lying too me. He could tell how bad I wanted the couch so he went onto craigslist to find the lady's # who was selling it. He went and picked it up, and had it all put together and set up in our living room by the time I got home from work. I had no clue...I was in complete shock when I walked into my living room after work. I thought I was in the wrong Apartment. He had the couch put together, a sweet note sitting on the couch, candles lit, and the lights down low! I am so grateful for my husband! Such a great Surprise!

California Trip August 2nd-12th

Imari and I had really been wanting to go on a vacation this summer, and were able to make a trip out to California! We went back and forth on deciding whether we should fly or drive, but it worked out good because my Mother In Law Davyne was planning on going to California this summer as well, and so the Three of us drove together! We left on a Thursday night after we were done with work and stayed with some family in Utah that night. Early Friday morning we were off and on our way! We drove and drove and drove some more. Things that got us by on our drives-Sun Flower Seeds(and lots of them), music and singing, 21 questions, and cross word puzzles on my Kindle. The drive was actually a lot of fun and didn't feel too long. We made it there Friday evening and stayed with Imari's Grandma-Grandma Toots. She is the greatest!

Highlights of our trip....The next morning on Friday Imari and I took off and headed to Palm Springs. We were able to stay in my Mother in Law's time share at Palm Canyon Resort for two nights. We had a great little get away there, and it is a beautiful place! We spent our days laying out by the pool and swimming, then our nights we would spend out exploring the town, and then at the end of the night we would end it with a nice night swim in the pool. Talk about relaxing!

Incredibly beautiful being able to see both the mountains and the palm trees. The mountains are so close too, so that was really cool. And we had an awesome pool with a great view!

Out exploring the town after we were finished eating at Soup Plantation(We ate there every chance we got on our trip, yum).

We rode the Aerial Tramway up to the tip top of this mountain. On our way up we go. It  turned out to be so awesome-way better then we thought it would be, and well worth our money! I have never been on anything like that, and let me tell ya, feeling like your dangling that high in the sky is a scary feeling, but such a great view of Palm Springs!
My tiny husband standing in front of the tree. This helps give it some perspective

Huge chunks of bark that had fallen off the tree

For the rest of our trip in Cali our days were filled with fun and our nights usually involved Imari having to do a little homework(Darn his online summer semester classes), and curling up on the couch watching the Olympics for a little bit, or watching a movie.

We also were able to make a trip to Sea World!!! I haven't been for a very long time, and it has definitely improved since I was last there. It was awesome! We both loved it!

Eeks....No thank you

This was an awesome moment! Imari and I went to the area where they keep the Dolphins in hopes that one would swim up to us so we could touch it. We went a few times but had no luck. I was determined to touch one before we left. Then we went to try again and right when we got there the trainers were there and they had the dolphins swim right by everyone so that everyone standing there could touch it. So this is a picture of me touching it while it swam by. It swam back and forth three times! I turned around so excited to look at Imari and it was the sweetest thing, I could tell how happy he was that I was able to touch it! (Later on I found out that Imari really wanted to buy us a swim with the dolphins. He debated about it for a while before we went-and then about a week before we left he had to pay school tuition and so he was really sad he couldn't get this for me, and that was why he was especially happy that I got to feel the Dolphin!

They had a Spring into night Shamu show. It was so great! It was pretty packed but the front rows/splash zones were completely empty. Imari and I wanted to get a good seat, but didn't want to get wet since it was now dark and cooler. Well in the early shows we noticed this one area wasn't getting wet-it was right by the platform where the whales come up on sometimes. So we thought we were pretty smart, and new how to sit close without getting wet. Well if you look at the picture below you will see that we got SOAKED...Ooops lol!

We Spent many of our days at the Beach! We just couldn't seem to get enough.  I think my favorite part was the Boogie Boarding, it was so much fun, and we caught some pretty good waves! The best was when we would catch the same wave and see who could ride it the farthest! The weather couldn't of been any better, and our days couldn't of been any sunnier. My favorite was when it would hit about 5:00, the sun would hit the water just right-it was my favorite, it is so pretty there. Imari scared me a few times with how deep he would go-he had to buy fins while we were there, he would go way out past touching distances, which for me, is the no zone. I like to stay where I can easily touch.

RULE: You never go and swim at the beach without stopping at Rite Aid after for icecream! This is my third time coming to California with Imari and I am definitely learning, and this is a very important thing! One day we even stopped twice to get Rite Aid icecream. This could be why we put on a few lbs!

Walking along the Peir! I love this picture with my sweets!

While we were there we were able to watch a Pre Season Packers game at the San Diego Stadium-Who Imari's cousin Vic plays for. It was so exciting, and let me tell ya...I  thought I've seen Imari get into football games before but this was something else! It was fun watching him get so excited and so happy for Vic! We are so glad we were able to make it to a game, and hope that it won't be our last!

We had such a great time and were sad when it was over, but were excited to get back to our tiny little apartment that we call home back in Idaho! California...we will be back soon!
